Embracing Change Amidst Uncertainty
We have all experienced the whirlwind of emotions accompanying change, often making it challenging to embrace it. Uncertainty can trigger self-doubt and fear about the future, leading you to grapple with a louder, anxiety-ridden inner voice that tells you that there is no way to adapt to what is happening.
I can still recall not long ago when I underwent rapid changes in my job, personal life, and faith. I prayed for God's help to handle it all, and surprisingly, I got my answer while exercising on the Peloton. If you've done a Peloton workout, you know the instructors are amazing and often share inspiring messages while pushing you during the workout. (Usually, I roll my eyes at all their positivity because who wants to hear that while struggling through a tough workout?)
While doing a challenging Kendall Toole workout (I believe it was a high-intensity spin ride, so I was really out of breath), she said something meaningful: "Stop doubting yourself. If it weren't meant for you, you wouldn't have it."
When she said that, it really struck me. I thanked God for letting me hear it because it seemed like it was meant for me, especially with everything going on in my life at the time. It made me realize that instead of fighting change, I should accept it because whatever is meant to be will happen, whether I resist it or not.
As I push past the thoughts of doubts and fear, I am eager to take them captive and cast them away so I can stand bold in my purpose without the added weight. I encourage you to do the same if you have doubts about the future.
Here is a scripture you can refer to when you are feeling uneasy:
Finding solace in God's greater plan offers trust and resilience in uncertainty. We find purpose in each moment when we learn to let go of control and reframe challenges as opportunities. Trusting God means accepting life's uncertainties with grace, guided by wisdom beyond our own.
Trust me, I know this is not an easy journey, especially during these unprecedented and uncertain times. However, I pray you have peace. Here's to letting go and letting God.
