Unlock Your Potential: Two Books That Helped Me Reach My Goals

45-second read

Despite our best efforts to achieve our goals, we sometimes do not make progress. Like many others, I've set goals to lose weight, start a business, or save enough money for [insert blank]. When I didn't reach these goals, I felt defeated and thought I lacked the skills and motivation to succeed.

I failed to realize that the path to success is less complicated than we think. The difference between real achievers and dreamers is not a massive skill, talent, ability, or motivation gap. Highly successful people stand out because of their daily habits and routines, which they consistently practice over time. When I grasped this concept, I realized I wasn't far from reaching my goals; I just needed to adjust my routine. These books helped me apply these principles in my life, and for once, I saw significant improvements in reaching my goals.

I attribute my change in perspective to the two books below:

  1. The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy

  2. Atomic Habits by James Clear

These books have been transformative and helped me develop a habit-tracking strategy in my business and personal life. Learn more about my tracking strategy in this post, Tracking Your Way to Success: A Beginner’s Guide.
